Yes, it works. In fact, it really helped. After a lot of angst and confusion, I think it was this, rather than the big filter thing, that really made a difference to the workings of the main machine. Now it works like a dream. So if you're machine is finding it very hard to pick stuff up, get one of these. Or at least, wash through the old one!
