Lightweight is a bit misleading but it is a good machine. Very powerful - had a DC01 before and this is amazing. Tansy is delighted that her hair is no longer a cause for complaint even when she is moulting. We like the ball system which makes the machine easier to manoeuvre. The switch for hard floors/carpets is a good idea too. Being able to see the brushes is also good and should mean that the belt has a longer life. Having to assemble the machine as delivered, with very poor instructions, took a while and the diagrams to show how to change attachments, empty and wash filters and release the long reach system are not clear. Message for James Dyson - it would not be difficult to produce a proper set of instructions with a few words here and there, would it?
